Autumn days...

Last days of Summer...

The last weeks of summer are upon us...many schools have began...talk of football is in the air and the first day of fall is just under six weeks away! The days of summer seemed to have slipped by very fast this year...the beginning of September here in Socal always gives us a hint of the beautiful fall days to come with cooler evenings & glowing sunsets. Its been a wonderful summer of traveling...antiquing & entertaining...looking forward to all the festivities of fall...we are buying & already selling many items for holiday entertaining...very much in demand right now...wood cheese boards...baquette baskets...old silver...urns with patina...confit pots...wooden tall candlesticks & anything to do with wine. The Whites of Spring....

Spring in southern California is beautiful, long lasting & gently flows into Summer...while most flowers bloom here all year, a few are only in bloom now...the peonies being one & my fave always...have been in full bloom for the last several weeks & are always a treat! I love white flowers all year long, they seem to always compliment the off white painted French country furniture thats always at Rue 27 and the antique gilt I love...This Spring has been busy for us at Rue 27 Maison, several buying trips, a couple of weddings & lots of antique markets...a wonderful time of year...Sharing with you the whites this Spring at Rue 27 Maison...

Winter days...

Winter days...living on the west coast our winters are mild & beautiful...gorgeous blue skies with lots of puffy clouds...a very busy time of year...lots of antiquing...finishing up several projects...a quick trip back to Les Puces a few weeks ago & celebrating family birthdays...I love this time of year a definite lull before Spring arrives but still a season of its own...white flowers in the winter are always a must at Rue 27 Maison...white tulips...iris & white hydrangeas have been in my home & shop the last few weeks...I love the richess of white flowers right now...I hope you are enjoying the days of winter...the warm, sunny & color filled days of Spring are just around the corner....Cheers!
