Summer's end is almost here...the last few weeks of warm days, gorgeous sunsets and here on the west coast, beautiful flowers in hues of yellows, ochre & soft orange...I shopped the flower markets several times the last week, the vendors stands were filled with early fall colors...I think everyone is looking forward to Autumn this year, I also shopped several antique markets...the holidays seem to be on everyone's mind as they loaded  up with vintage & antique furniture, large platters, wooden bread boards, French & copper everything...I found a few wonderful finds for my shop...Flower urns & vintage baskets are also popular...We attended several wine tasting events at the local wineries, always a treat...I was inspired to bake, for the first time, my Grandmother's Orange cake, that was passed down to my Mother...my sister shared the recipe with me & helped guide me on the delicious glaze..it is one of her faves...The cake was delicious & brought back wonderful memories...I also prepared Nicoise Salad & Chicken Piccata...
